Adding an activity to your Checkout Flow will give you an insight into how the widget works and how your future customers will see and book their activity. Follow our easy step-by-step guide here.
1. Create a New Activity
Go to your Checkout Flow dashboard and click "Create New Activity" in the "Your Activities" section.
2. Fill in the Activity Details
Complete each section with the details your customers will need to know when they book.
Name: What is your activity called?
Description: Include as many details about the activity as possible. Mention what is and isn’t included, start times, and any other relevant information.
Choose Images: Upload multiple images to help your customers visualise your activity. The first image will be set as the cover image for the activity.
Private or Shared Activity: Choose between Private or Shared.
Private Activities: These are limited to groups. Each group occupies a slot, regardless of group size. You'll need to enter the number of slots and the maximum number of guests per slot.
Shared Activities: These are limited by the total number of guests that can do the activity at one time. You'll need to specify the maximum number of guests.
Activity Type: Select the category that best describes your activity.
Duration: Specify the length of the activity in minutes, hours or days.
Additional Information: This feature allows you to gather important details from guests during the booking process, ensuring you have everything needed to provide a smooth and personalized experience.
For more details on what these fields are and how to set them up, check out our full guide here.
Special Requests: After confirming their booking, guests will have the option to add any requests related to their booking, such as dietary preferences or accessibility needs.
Optional Field (additional information question): You can also add an optional field to collect specific information required for the activity.
For Example:
Weight and Height
Contact phone number
Dietary restrictions
Participant skill level
3. Set the Availability
Choose when your activity is available to customers.
When is the product available?: Specify if it's available every day or only on certain weekdays.
Start Date: Include the date from when your activity is available to book.
End Date: If your activity is only available for a specific date range, select its end date.
4. Add Your Pricing
Select your price for the activity and add any rate plans you'd like to add too.
Check the box next to the rate plans you want to use and edit the price: We automatically create 'Refundable' (with a 3-day refund policy) and 'Non-Refundable' Rate Plans, which you can edit.
Edit and add new Rate Plans: If you want to add specific Rate Plans, you can do this and edit any existing plans in the "Checkout Settings & Rate Plans" section from the "Settings" dropdown in your Checkout Flow dashboard.
5. Your Activity is Live!
Congratulations! You have successfully added your first activity to Checkout Flow. This will now be visible to potential customers, increasing your booking opportunities.
You can make edits to the information, availability and pricing of the activity at any time through your dashboard.
