Adding custom information requests to your Checkout Flow allows you to gather important details from your guests after they’ve completed their booking. This feature gives you more control over the booking process, ensuring you have everything you need to provide a seamless experience for your customers. Follow our easy step-by-step guide below to learn how to set up and use this feature.


Feature Overview

You will be able to request additional information from your guests using two types of fields:

  1. Default Field: Special Requests
    Every booking includes a default “Special Requests” field, which allows guests to add any extra information or requests related to their booking.

  2. Optional Field: Specific Information
    You also have the option to ask custom fields that request specific information relevant to the booking. These fields can be tailored to suit your business needs and the type of service you offer, whether it’s an accommodation or an activity.

    Examples of specific information fields include:

    • Arrival time

    • Contact phone number

    • Nationality

    • Flight details

    • Weight and Height

    • Dietary restrictions

    • Skill level, or anything else that matters to you!

How to Set Up Additional Information Fields

When creating an activity product (see full guide here) or an accommodation product (see full guide here), you will find the option to add custom fields in Step 2 ("Product Information")

In this step, toggle on the option to "Insert additional information question", then enter the specific question you want to ask (e.g., “Arrival time?” or “Phone number?”).

How to edit Additional Information Fields

To add custom fields to your product’s checkout process, follow these steps:

  1. Select the accommodation or activity you want to edit.

  2. Select Edit Information

  3. Scroll to the Additional Information section.

  4. Toggle on the option to “Insert additional information question”.

  5. Enter the specific question you want to ask (e.g., “Arrival time?” or “Phone number?”).

  6. Click "Update" to save your changes.

You can set up different custom fields for each product, allowing you to collect information specific to that booking.


How you will Receive this information

Once guests submit their booking and provide the requested information:

  • You will receive their responses via email.

  • The information will also be available on their booking details page in your dashboard.

This ensures you have quick and easy access to all the necessary information before their arrival or participation.
