Switching from PayPal to Tab

Lots of businesses move to Tab from PayPal as we’re a cheaper and more effective option for them.

This is because Tab is specially set up to work with tourist businesses around the world who deal with lots of international customers. We handle all currencies and all major card types with no added fees. This is different to most providers who increase their fees depending on a customer's bank country and currency.

We can also send payouts to any bank account in the world in your local currency or USD, free of charge.

Why switch your payments to Tab?

  • Our fees are transparent and fair. We only charge 2.9% for in-person payments and 2.9% + $1 for advance payments. Never more.

  • No surcharges for foreign cards / American Express

  • No monthly fees

  • Receive free payouts to your local bank account anywhere in the world in your local currency or USD

  • Charge card details received from Booking.com & Expedia immediately using our OTA feature

  • Charge Virtual Cards (VCCs) from Online Travel Agents (including Booking.com, Expedia, Despegar, Agoda and more

  • Transparent pricing for your customers — they won’t be charged any hidden fees

Switching to Tab for your Advance Payments

If you’re currently sending your customers PayPal payment links — you can use the Tab Advance Booking feature to improve this process.

You can also use this feature to immediately charge card details you’ve received from Booking.com or Expedia.

To create a Tab payment link:

  • On your Tab Dashboard home screen, click 'Create new' and then 'Advance Booking'

  • Complete the Advance Booking form with your customer’s details

  • Click on ‘Create booking’

  • Send the secure payment link to your customer

  • Once your customer has paid, you will receive an email confirming the payment
