Understanding and setting up Rate Plans is essential for effectively managing your offerings on Checkout Flow. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of creating your Rate Plans, to ensure all of your products have the right pricing structure.
What is a Rate Plan?
A Rate Plan is an ongoing pricing and policy structure that you apply to your products (rooms or activities).
The Policy: Cancellation rules and custom features (like "Breakfast included")
The Ongoing Price: The default "template" used to set prices for all future dates
Daily Pricing: The actual price charged for a specific day on the calendar
Each product in Checkout Flow must have at least one enabled Rate Plan to be available for booking.
Why Rate Plans are Important
Flexibility: Rate Plans allow you to offer different pricing options, catering to various customer needs and preferences.
Customisation: They enable you to include special features and set specific policies for each plan, enhancing the service you offer your guests.
Advanced Restrictions: Rate Plans can include restrictions such as a maximum or a minimum number of guests, nights, or advance purchase requirements (see our separate help center article on advanced restrictions).
Creating or Editing Rate Plans
